This class meets for NINE weeks on Mondays, 8-10 PM, starting 4/14/25.
Jump into the world of improv with this fun and supportive introductory class! You'll learn the core principles of long-form, scene-based comedy while building confidence, creativity, and collaboration skills. Our instructors will help you silence your inner critic so you can think on your feet, embrace the unexpected, and—most importantly—have fun!
Whether you're looking to perform, sharpen your public speaking, step outside your comfort zone, or just meet great people, this class is for you. No experience necessary—just bring an open mind and a willingness to play!
All active Station Theater students receive free admission to Friday & Saturday regular shows, pending ticket availability at showtime.
Class Topics Include:
- Improv navigation systems "Yes, and…" and "If This, Then What?"
- Being in the moment
- Active listening
- Getting out of your head
- Supporting your scene partner
- Using emotions to heighten scenes
- Creating & interacting with your environment
- Using your body and voice to create memorable characters

- All Level 1 classes take place at our Main Theater.
- Improv Levels 2-5, Workshops, and Sketch Classes may be held at either the Main Theater or the Classroom at Sabine Street Studios. Your welcome email will specify your classroom location.

CAN I BRING A GUEST TO CLASS?
We do not allow guests in our classes.

Students must be 18 years or older.
CAN I BUY TICKETS AT THE DOOR?
Online ticket sales close 1 hour before the class starts. We do not offer sales at the door for classes.
